We build software for the people bidding federal work.
FedM8 is a veteran-led software company. Our whole effort right now is FedM8 AI — SAM.gov search, certification guidance, and award intel for small businesses going after federal contracts. Free to start.
One product, built for small businesses chasing federal work.
FedM8 AI is where our people and our hours go. Everything below describes that product and the company behind it.
Find work worth bidding
SAM.gov search filtered by NAICS and set-aside, so you see the notices that match what you actually sell instead of a firehose you scroll at midnight.
Get registered and certified
A free walkthrough of the federal path: EIN, SAM.gov registration, and SBA VetCert. It links to the government programs that actually run each step and stores none of your documents.
Stop pricing in the dark
Award history and recompete timing from public data, so you know who has been winning this work and roughly what it paid before you put a number on it.
Be findable
The Veteran Directory lets veteran-owned businesses list what they do and control what contact information shows. Set-asides are mostly won by teams, and being findable is how small shops get pulled onto work.
For prime contractors
Our delivery focus right now is FedM8 AI, but the best time to build a teaming relationship is well before a solicitation drops. Software development and IT are what we do, our SBA VetCert is in process, and we are glad to start the conversation early on work you see coming. Reach out and tell us what is on your horizon.
Software and technology, first.
Custom software and IT services are the center of our work. Sized for task orders, surge support, and discrete scopes under a prime.

Additional support offerings
When a scope calls for more than software and IT, we can support the following under the same accountable partner.
Construction & Facilities
Renovation, repair, build-outs, and facility support for government buildings and installations.
Printing & Apparel
Uniform and apparel customization, UV flatbed printing, signage, and recognition items.
Event Support
Planning and on-site logistics for conferences, ceremonies, and official functions.
Four things most people learn too late.
None of this is secret. It just never gets told to the people it would help most.
A 0% VA rating still qualifies you
Any service-connected rating makes you eligible for SDVOSB, including a rating of zero percent. A great many veterans assume zero means no and never check. If you have a rating at all, you qualify.
The SAM checkbox is not certification
Ticking "veteran-owned" in SAM.gov does not let you win contracts set aside for veterans. That takes the SBA certification. It is the most common misunderstanding in federal contracting and it costs people real bids.
Set-asides are a team sport
SDVOSB and VOSB set-asides move serious money, but most of those awards go to teams. Primes go looking for partners. If you are not findable, you are not on the list, no matter how good you are.
Nobody knows who lost
Awards are public record. Losses are not published anywhere. Any tool showing you a win rate built one from guesses, and pricing against a guess is how you lose the money twice.
Know who you are working with.
Government buyers research the people behind a company. Here we are.
Joseph B. Nguyen
Service-disabled veteran who has worked federal contracting since 1999 from all three sides of the table — six years active duty Army, seven years as a subject-matter-expert contractor, and federal civilian service with the Department of the Army and DoD since 2012. His software work goes back further: in 1996 he developed ergonomic software for International Ergonomics Experts, and in 2003 he built the VIP Event List web app for Dream Night Club. His federal background includes contract monitoring and evaluation, full datacenter deployments, and software development across agency environments. He holds a B.S. in Computer Networking from Strayer University and an M.B.A. and M.S. in Information Systems from the University of Phoenix. He leads FedM8’s strategy, operations, and every delivery commitment.
Darren Cummings
Co-founder leading business development and partner relationships. He started as an Account Executive at Telemundo (NBC), then built and owned hospitality technology companies — including AllView Networks, which monetized WiFi login and landing pages for more than 2,800 hotels. He went on to lead eStreamTV, delivering live IPTV and programmatic advertising to multi-dwelling properties, hotels, senior living, hospitals, and student housing, and forging partnerships that turned equipment upgrades into a built-in revenue platform. Most recently at F.H. Furr (Apex Service Partners) he sold over $9 million in HVAC equipment and helped drive more than $21 million in company valuation growth in under three years. He holds a Communications degree from the University of Delaware and brings that same partnership discipline and client-first execution to FedM8’s growth.

What we are doing right now
Building software. FedM8 AI is the whole job at the moment, and the people we are building it for are small businesses trying to get a fair shot at federal work.
FedM8 is majority-owned and controlled by a service-disabled veteran, and our SBA VetCert application is in process. It matters for the day we go after set-asides ourselves. It does not change anything about the product, which is open to any small business.
Capability StatementFedM8 AI — SAM.gov opportunity search
A signed-in search of live SAM.gov opportunities by NAICS and set-aside, plus Award Intel on Pro accounts. Free to start, and the certification walkthrough stays free.
Get Certified is a free checklist for veterans covering EIN, SAM.gov registration, and SDVOSB VetCert — with links to the government programs that actually run those steps. It stores no personal documents.
